"I've never hired a stylist, it seems too scary. What will you do? Will you make me wear things i dont like?"

No!!! I can see exactly why you would feel this way. The fashion and beauty industry has not made a name for itself as  "warm, accepting and relaxed". Sometimes a trip into the fancier stores can be daunting just because of the ladies behind the counter. But you need not worry, I will take care of you without the snobbery or intimidation. Just like you, I just want to relax and have some fun. Styling shouldn't be all profession and no warmth. I believe in genuine service and want to meet each induvidual where they are at. I wont make you wear what you hate. I will work with you to find something you are comfortable in, with strict honesty and kindness.

"I want a wardrobe and style package, but im not sure if its worth the money."

I understand completely, the initial price of a consultation can seem a little overwhelming to many budgets, but for the average woman, it's definately an investment. Think of the amount of money you spend (and lets face it, half the time, waste) on clothing each year. After a consultation you will know how to save time and money on future purchases, how to limit your wardrobe to mainly items you will actually wear and how to dress to suit you. Have you ever been to a wedding, the theme is beautiful, the hair is fantastic, the $1800 floral layout or ice sculptures they spent $400 a piece on are talk of the night, but the bride steps in with a less than flattering dress... or the bridesmaids are continually complaining about there dresses which are tragically the wrong colour or style for them? Our whole fashion lives can be like that if we dont spend a bit of time in preparation and educating ourselves. We can spend hundreds or even thousands on beauty products, expensive clothes and accessories, but if its all wrong, its all a waste! Investing in knowing how to shop for yourself and dress in the most flattering way possible can change the way you feel and act and live! Plus getting that wardrobe sorted is just the beginning to time saving and de-cluttering your life. Ever heard the saying "work smarter, not harder"? "How long in advance should I book?"

It depends on the season, event and service. Wardrobe consulting can be booked as late as a week before during normal periods, but two to three weeks in advance will assure that a convenient time for you can be reserved. Personal Shopping varies, sometimes same week services are available but usually booking a week in advance is wise. During busy seasons book as early as possible. During "The Races", Christmas, Valentines day, mothers day, Tax Return and Fashion week etc it is best to book well in advance as these are much busier times of year, especially for personal shopping.

"You say you are freelance... have you ever worked with clothes outside of your own business?"

Yes! I have 8 Years Experience in Retail working for fashion & Accessories stores such as Myer, Valleygirl, Rowe & Jarman, Betts, Shiels, Live and Lulu Designs Boutique who specialise in Wedding, Ball Gown, cocktail and Evening wear. I have had styling training and before I started my own business I was dressing people around me free of charge for 5 years just for the fun and experience!

"Do you have services for men?"

I do not cater for men in the wardrobe and personal style consulting area, but I certainly offer my personal shopping services to gentlemen.

Personal Styling is for anyone and everyone who wants to invest in there image. We are in a world where first impressions really do count for alot so more and more people are seeing the value in getting it right.
